Industrial Alcohol 95% and Glacial Acetic Acid are continuously fed to the reactor with Homogeneous strong Para-Toluene Sulphonic Acid (PTSA) as catalyst. The vapors from reactor are fed to Azeotropic Column. Nearly ternary Azeotropic mixture of Ethyl Acetate, Alcohol and Acetic Acid forms at top of column is taken to Azeotropic decanter for phase separation. The part of Ethyl Acetate rich layer is returned to Azeotropic Column as reflux and remainder is fed to Recovery Column where pure Ethyl Acetate draw is taken from the column while Water-Ethyl Acetate and Alcohol-Ethyl Acetate Azeotrope are removed from top and recycled to reactor after phase separation in Recovery Decanter.
